It is with great pride that I welcome you to Tavan Elementary School.  I hope you will feel welcome to visit our school on a regular basis.  I want to encourage you to participate in classroom, school, and PTA activities.

As the principal of Tavan, I would like to let you know that my door is always open.  Please come by whenever possible.  I am always willing to listen to your concerns and address any issues of importance to you, your children, or the school.

This is a very exciting and challenging time for Tavan Elementary.  We have made great strides with our voluntary “School Improvement” program initiated four years ago. Our school has undergone a transformation internally and externally.  Internally, our goal is to continue to increase student achievement in reading, writing and math.  Externally, the 8 million dollar Board approved new construction and remodel will be completed this year.  Your children will benefit from a beautiful, new state of the art school. Please join the Tavan Community in the celebration of our accomplishments.

As you can see, many exciting and wonderful things are happening at Tavan Elementary School.  Most of all, I want you to know that your child’s well-being, safety and education are of the utmost concern of mine.  Please know that I, and the entire Tavan community, will do all that we can to prepare and inspire your children as they embark/continue on their educational journey.

Tavan is a great school. I am very excited and fortunate to be in a position to serve this community. I am looking forward to building positive relationships with students, parents, and community members. Together, we can help each and every student to reach their academic potential.
